Pastor shoots competitive Archery and currently is number one in Masters Division for the state of Wyoming. They hunt, fish, hike and enjoy every aspect of Cody WY outdoors. Ministry Experience: This is Pastor Larry's 4th church in 25 years of ministry. He has served on the District NYI Council, District Sunday School council, has served as Delegate to General Assembly. He has organized and lead 7 International W/W teams, and currently sits on the Wyoming State Ministerial Board. Denominational Qualifications to be on the board: 39. We direct our local churches to elect as church officers active members of the local church who profess the experience of entire sanctification and whose lives bear public witness to the grace of God that calls us to a holy life; who are in harmony with the doctrines, polity, and practices of the Church of the Nazarene; and who support the local church faithfully in attendance and with tithes and offerings. (2009—2013 Church of the Nazarene Manual 113.11, 127, 145-147)
Local Church Qualifications to be on the board: 1. Consistently meeting with Jesus, working to grow in grace. 2. Consistently meeting with and discipling family members. 3. Consistently serving and connecting with church family, in worship and small group and in financial giving. 4. Consistently connecting with pre-Christian friends. Duties: 1. Select Board Secretary and Treasurer from the membership of the Cody Church of the Nazarene 2. Approve leaders of the ministry teams 3. Approve the ministry teams’ nominations for the election ballot of those to serve the advisory board 4. Approve recommendations from the ministry teams, including annual budget and financial reports 5. Hear ministry teams’ reports and advise ministry direction 6. Oversee Long Range Planning 7. Create Understanding of Expectations, Goals, Plans, and Objectives 8. Hire and review pastors as scheduled 9. Grant local or lay minister’s license and recommend for district minister’s license (recommendations to be received from the Faith Formation Team) 10. See manual for other responsibilities
Cody Nazarene Team Responsibilities
Consist of at least 3 members.
Meet a minimum of every other month.
Report to the advisory board their progress in reaching their objectives.
Nominate advisory board representative and team leader by March of each year and submit an estimated yearly calendar and budget by April.
Communicate at least quarterly to the church body and bi-monthly to the advisory board current objectives and progress, along with financial information
Manage the church property by giving guidance to the maintenance and development of the physical facilities.
Oversee janitorial workers and special cleaning days.
Hold the title to church property & manage the safety deposit box.
Manage the Financial planning and Church Safety Plan (Safety, Legal, Insurance).
Give special attention, under direction of the advisory board, to raising money for support of the church and pastors. This would include recommendations for pastoral and evangelist packages.
Appoint a counting team which will provide at least two counters when money is counted.
Appoint an audit committee and review annually the financial books.

Organize and Manage Sunday Morning Workers Schedule. l Assist in public worship (ushers, elements for Lord’s Supper).
Organize and Manage all-church meals and other fellowship events (Baptism Picnic, Fall Family Festival, Easter).

Organize and Manage Discipleship Processes.
Approve teachers and curriculum
Organize and Manage Prayer Opportunities.
Manage Class 101 and other membership classes.
Manage Class 201 and other training classes.
Confirm and recommend to the local advisory board individuals seeking a local or lay minister’s license.
Oversee the development and training of those called to specific licensed ministries within the church.
Organize and Manage “systems” that enlist, equip, and allow ministers to minister.
Manage and Follow Up with Class 301 and other ministry training classes.
Organize and Manage a Quarterly Ministers Meeting.
Provide Local and Global Missions Awareness.
Promote Local and Global Missions Offerings.
Organize and Manage Local and Global Projects (Meals, Crisis Care Kits, etc.).
Organize and Manage Benevolence.
Organize and manage local outreach events and global work and witness teams.
Manage Class 401 and other evangelism training classes.
