Our Vision: Connecting people to Christ through Genuine Relationships.
Our Personal Strategy: to develop genuine relationships with people inside and outside the church- our friends, neighbors, and co-workers. Our desire is not to manipulate anyone, but to be there in their times of need and questioning. From there, we allow God to use us to help draw people to Him.
Our Mission is “To Provide a Community for People to Experience God and His Grace!”
There are two parts to this mission: · We want to provide not just a place but a people- a community- in which genuine relationships can prosper. · But we don’t want just any kind of close knit community. We want to provide a community where they can experience God & specifically His grace- His love for us!
Our Statements are based on two key Scriptures: The Great Commandment: “Jesus said, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart...soul...and mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and Prophets hang on these two commandments.’” Matthew 22:36-40 The Great Commission: “Jesus said, ‘Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Matthew 28:19-20
To break that down even further: • To “Love God with all your heart” is “WORSHIP”. • To “Love your neighbor as yourself” is “MINISTRY”. • To “Go...make disciples” is “EVANGELISM”. • To “Baptize...” is to connect people into “FELLOWSHIP”. · To “Teach them...all things” is “DISCIPLESHIP”.
We have a purpose-driven structure. As we grow as Christians, we incorporate more and more of the purposes in our lives until we become “home run” Christians– which is worship...living our lives the way God designed them. We have organized our leadership teams to help move people around the bases. Fellowship Team focuses on Worship & Fellowship: Leading people from their first contact with the church into a relationship with Christ and membership at Cody Nazarene. Faith Formation & NYI Teams focuses on Discipleship: Intentionally growing people to spiritual maturity in their walk with the Lord. SDMI Team focuses on Ministry: Helping people discover their God-given resources and matching them up with the ministry that they have been designed for. NMI focuses on Evangelism: Training people to share their faith and to be involved in the worldwide mission of sharing Christ with the world.

Through God’s help and direction, we help people move around the bases and step from the community to the core in their levels of commitment. How?
First of all, we work to provide “a community for people to experience God and His grace.” (Our Mission Statement)
As we do this, Our Vision connects to our Strategy which leads to meeting our Objective.
Cody Nazarene’s Vision: Connecting People to Christ through Genuine Relationships
Cody Nazarene’s Strategy: to develop genuine relationships with people inside and outside the church- our friends, neighbors, and co-workers. Our desire is not to manipulate anyone, but to be there in their times of need and questioning. From there, we allow God to use us to help draw people to Him.
Cody Nazarene’s Objective: to keep moving people deeper toward the center in their commitment to Christ. We believe that people grow best by encouraging personal spiritual commitments. At each step, a deeper commitment is required.
