I encourage all of you with teens to give serious consideration to allowing and encouraging your teen to attend. PRAYER & PRAISES Praise - Souls Saved “Souls were saved from demonic powers,” said the JESUS Film team member in Zimbabwe. “The first time we showed the JESUS Film, it was well received. The village is well known for witchcraft, and the people did not think we would stay more than a day. However, God had mighty plans, and many people became believers in Christ and a preaching point was established.” Praise the Lord that His plans prevail over the forces of darkness. Prayer - New Ministry in Nepal Please pray for the Pokhara area of western Nepal and the people who live there. Leaders are planning to start a new ministry within the next month in this area. Pray that the Lord will open the door for His work to be expanded in Pokhara. This list does not contain every prayer concern in our community. TOP THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW FOR THIS WEEK
PRAYER & PRAISES UPDATES Prayer - Naomi Siegfried - Just found out she has diabetes. At the moment they are treating with diet and medicine. Prayer - Continued healing from surgery for Allen Moore's mother. Personal Update from Pastor Kyle Today our house in Idaho will be sold. The bank is forgiving over $68,000 through the short sale. This has been a long and difficult journey that has been full of challenges and blessings. The primary lesson God is teaching me is that if you aren't willing to suffer and do the hard stuff you will never ever get to experience the best stuff. When we take the easy way out and avoid allowing God to discipline us we fail to allow God to prepare us to experience the blessings he has waiting. Living through suffering for God is so much better than having a suffering life because of not living. Now instead of seeing what I don't have, I see all the little things each day that God has blessed me with. This week I had the honor of praying for Allen's mother. What a blessing I received! I took my wife on a date to McDonald's Wednesday night. You can get two pies for $1! While there a teen who had previously attended our church sat down and talked to us. I had the honor of participating in life with that teen. We discussed personal relationships and numerous other topics. I didn't do everything right that night as a pastor. I forgot to pray with him when we left. I interrupted a conversation to greet his mother and completely ignored the other couple. There are still a lot of things I am working on, but I accepted an opportunity to be a servant of Christ that night and was greatly blessed in spirit. I encourage you to accept God's blessings by giving your entire life to God. Give up control. It is then and only then that you really begin to see just how incredible our God is. God isn't going to call all of you into staff ministry and require you to quit your jobs and leave your homes. But what he will do is ask you to life every minute of every day for him. Trust me. When you do that your life and life of others around you will be infinitely better than what it had been. Are you satisfied being a fan and telling others that you like Jesus? If not, then join us the next 6 weeks as we learn how to become totally committed to Jesus. E-News for 1/8 to 1/14 01/06/2012

TOP THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW FOR THIS WEEK____
PRAYER & PRAISES UPDATES Prayer - Take a few moments each day to focus on who God will have you bless that day. Ask God to use you each and every day in all elements of your life. Be sure to seek protection from temptation before your day starts. Order of Service for 1.1.12 10:00 Welcome Kid's Song - Everyday (Hillsong Kids) Hymn 262 - He Lives Hymn 371 - Heaven Came Down Prayer Scripture - Luke 2:22-40 Sermon - Pastor Kyle Song - Trading My Sorrows Song - How Great is Our God Announcements/Offering Kid's Song - This Little Light of Mine (Group - Crocodile Dock VBS) Prayer Links to songs for Sunday Everyday - http://youtu.be/O8O-1RORfsU He Lives - http://youtu.be/GmKnzGqqBQk (Sung by an African Choir) Heaven Came Down - http://youtu.be/nwi-cLW-HqA Trading My Sorrows - http://youtu.be/-rkFsIKRgMU How Great is Our God - http://youtu.be/MWliNrNjOZ8 This Little Light of Mine - http://youtu.be/xqfyAa5TTDM Preparation for Worship What does worship mean to you? Do you go to a church service out of obligation? Do you go to do your time? Do you go so that you will enjoy it? Do you go to tell God how much you love Him? I suppose the reality is that there is a blend of all of those. Each culture has their own music style and attempting to force a certain group to only worship God through a style of music they don't enjoy is not that productive. That is the challenge that each church has. Some not only have different cultures due to age groups but also because of different nationalities. As I searched for the songs to list above I found it interesting how many different ways there was to sing the same song. As I watched and listened closely I could sense that each group was worshiping in a real sense. I didn't appreciate or like each rendition but I could certainly attach myself to the worshipful attitude of the participants. I invite you to listen to this group of songs prior to Sunday and through out the next week. If you don't like the version then allow yourself to be blessed because those who are worshiping are being blessed. When you come Sunday; worship with us. Praise God for all that He has done. Thank God for the blessings he has bestowed. Pray that God will help you in your time of need. Above all join us as a community as we reach out with our voices and proclaim our love to our God. If you don't like the song, try it anyway. Let the words be your guide. Worship is not just about what we get back from God. Worship is our attitude and our actions toward God. Sometimes it is work. Sometimes we have to take a deep breath and put our life behind us. Sometimes we have to put our likes and dislikes aside. The good feelings we have from a good worship service are a great thing, but we must start with our willingness to worship together. The Christmas season is a contrast between light and darkness. The season of winter provides a natural covering of darkness, yet we celebrate with the stringing of lights. The shepherds and the wise men were lead to Jesus by light. This Sunday we will cover what the darkness and the light can mean to us spiritually. May God Bless you as you live as a witness to God's love and Jesus' sacrifice.
